Hi! My name is Chloe Konkler, I am an illustrator and visual development artist focused on character design, concept art, and narrative illustration inspired by animation, fantasy storytelling, and cinematic lighting. My work explores themes of adventure, hope, and emotional storytelling, with a strong interest in preproduction work such as character exploration, environments, and visual storytelling for entertainment and publishing.
My background has been shaped by international experiences that influence both my perspective and my work. I have lived in Hawaii and Panama where I attended Bible school and contributed to mural projects, experiences that strengthened both my storytelling interests and my desire to create meaningful work. I later studied fashion & illustration in London in a fashion/faith-focused program, where I developed my design sensibilities and understanding of visual communication. Alongside my academic work at SCAD (savannah college of art and design), I have continued to create murals and large-scale pieces, which has strengthened my understanding of composition, color, and working at scale. My faith is also an important part of my creative foundation, and I am especially inspired by themes of redemption, beauty, and storytelling found in the Bible, which often influence the heart behind the work I create.
